Iceland
[OCTOBER 11 - OCTOBER 17]
WHERE WILL WE BE?
In Iceland, we will be exploring Reykjavík for most of the time and venturing out as far as the public busses can take us! We will not be WWOOFing at all in Iceland.
What grows there?
The main produce from Iceland greenhouses are tomatoes, cucumber, bell peppers, cabbage and strawberries. Iceland also exports a lot of fish products.
What is their climate like?
Iceland's climate is cold oceanic in the south and tundra inland in the highlands. Due to its location in the North Atlantic Current, it has a temperate climate. Their average yearly rainfall ranges from 12-28 inches. The main biomes here are boreal birch forests and alpine tundra.
