WHere will we be?

We will be visiting two places in Malaysia. For the first week we will be staying in Kuala Lumpur with one of our friend's families. For the next three weeks we will be WWOOFing at Floreo Agrotech farm run by Kai Yee in Sungai Petani. SP is an hour north of Penang.

What grows there?

The main crops grown in Malaysia include palm oil, rice, rubber, and cocoa. Coconut, tropical fruits, flowers, vegetables, and other annual crops are also grown.

What is their climate like?

Malaysia is very close to the equator, and therefore stays hot and humid throughout the year. The average temperature is around 80°F and their average rainfall is 92 in per year. All of Malaysia is in the tropical rainforest biome.

Floreo Agrotech is an aquaponics fish farm that strives to create a community-based, sustainable, environmentally conscious farm. They strive to produce food of highest integrity, fresh from our farm to you. They want to reconnect urbanites to the origin of food cultivation. WWOOFers on their farm carry out daily activities such as feeding fish & livestock, inspections on plants, preparation for seeding and transplanting, harvesting and overall upkeep of the farm.
