WHere will we be?

In Thailand we will be flying into Bangkok. We will be exploring Bangkok for a week. Next, we are visiting the beautiful island of Koh Tao for Christmas and final week in Thailand. Sophia will be getting scuba diver certified there!

What grows there?

In Thailand, the main crops include rice, cassava (tapioca), corn, rubber, and sugar. 64% of the population are involved in agriculture and Thailand is among the largest exporters of rice in the world. Other crops including pineapple, kenaf, tobacco, and other fruits and vegetables. Animals are also raised for dairy production and fish are farmed.

What is their climate like?

Thailand, like Malaysia, is close to the equator and has a tropical climate. There are three distinct seasons: the hot season from March to May, the cool season from November to February and the rainy season from about June to October. The yearly rainfall averages at 59 inches. Thailand is mostly a diverse tropical rainforest biome.
